Taking place as a Pre-Conference Workshop, happening on Wednesday, May 6th from 10:00AM - 12:00PM The Just Get Over It exercise takes participants through a comprehensive timeline of the history of colonization in Canada, while facilitators weave personal stories throughout. Interactive portions of the exercise ask participants to approach this history with empathy and new understanding, bringing participants directly into the timeline as the stories are shared. At the end, participants can take some time to debrief the activity with the facilitators. The focus is not on shame and regret, but rather on building new understanding and finding productive solutions for moving forward in a good way. The exercise takes approximately 2 hours
